Marvel Greens is owned by Amol Kokatnur and his partner Sushant Wankar. The farm was started in March 2013 by Amol with a cultivation of 5 hectares. At the beginning of 2014, Sushant joined Amol.

These two are masters in agriculture with vast technical expertise in agri-business. Their coming together created a synergy that pushed the total area under cultivation from 5 to 50 hectares in 24months, developed in two phases.

Amol came to work in the Kenyan floriculture industry in 2008 after finishing his B.Sc. in Agriculture from an Indian University. His Five-year stint, working in this leading Kenyan horticultural sub-segment exposed Amol to the dynamics of the horticultural industry on a global scale.

He travelled far and wide; crossed many lands and oceans marketing flowers. While still involved in this, Amol gained cognizance of the huge demand of safely produced and high quality fresh produce and vegetables world-wide; inducing in his mind the conception of an idea of creating a fresh produce farm.

After doing a thorough study on fresh produce and vegetables; Amol Kokatnur concluded that the exponential growing world population has an almost insatiable need for quality food for sustenance.

This impelled him switch from ornamental farming to food production. Amol says this kind of farming is very critical as it offers peaceful solutions to the world. After a well thought out plan and meticulous execution, Marvel Greens opened its doors to the world in March 2013.

Our farm is on a 60-hectare land in Kitengela; Kajiado County. Of the 60 hectares, at the moment 50 hectares are under cultivation. Marvel Greens lies on the left along Nairobi-Namanga highway, 30Kms from JKIA; 45Kms from Nairobi CBD.

The farm is 1650m above sea level. The climate around here is neither too cold nor extremely hot. Its soil is black cotton, unexploited for years. These two conditions combine well, creating a very suitable and viable environment for growing quality vegetables.
